Pennsylvania Partay!

Zeb and I traveled to Erie, Pennsylvania to celebrate my grandparent's 70th wedding anniversary. We also attended a family reunion and lots of smaller parties of various contingencies. We spent quality time with Uncle Zach, Sarah, Gilhooly (Zach and Sarah's baby-to-be), Grandpa Greg, Auntie M, Rebecca, the Brennan cousins, the Schneider cousins, and all of our other aunts, uncles, cousins, and so many other relatives and friends! Zeb really enjoyed hanging out with Chaz and Jay and they did such a good job of "Zeb wrangling."

In the "it's a small world category," our nanny is from Erie. So, while we were in town we saw her younger sister perform the role of Sarah Brown in "Guys and Dolls" and met her parents!!

A few photos of our trip are available in the 70th set. Look to Facebook for photos from other family and friends.

Public Radio

I made my first appearance on public radio this weekend! Jeannie Yandel from Puget Sound Public Radio (KUOW) interviewed me at my house a couple weeks ago and the segment aired on Saturday. Visit, "Web Accessibility for Everyone" to listen to the interview. I'm working to have a transcript published. Check it out!

A new world

"It's the end of the world as we know it and I feel fine." R.E.M.
Many changes are afoot in the Chisholm household. John moved out 1 May. The details aren't important. What is important is that I am moving forward. I have a lot of work to do but I'm pleased with the distance I've already covered in this short transition time.

I'm looking forward to birthing Wendy 3.0. I started dating John when I was 19, so 0-19 is Wendy 1.0. We spent 19 years together, Wendy 2.0. The next 19--who knows what is in store?! I created a collage of some of the things I would like to focus on in this next phase. Photos of my Wendy 3.0 collage. And this is the work that I need to do to best support Zeb through the transitions that he is going through.

Zeb and I spent Fourth of July in Colorado celebrating my cousin Chaille's marriage to Shawn. We spent lots of time with my mom and grandma. Zeb quickly figured out that I was mistaking "Grandma" and "Great-grandma" for whenever I called my mom, "Mom" he would chime in, "That's grandma."

As usual, he's an awesome traveler. We went to the Children's Museum, the Train Museum, and played miniature golf in the dark. Photos are online at flickr (Denver for Chaille's Wedding).

While I'm not blogging much these days, I twitter and post photos to flickr. The best place to find "all things wendy and zeb" is at my FriendFeed stream.
